Wings
Our inclusive Preschool/PreK program follows a hands-on, play based curriculum that values teaching children how to become well-rounded learners. We believe that play, along with a little structure, can spark a lifelong love of learning. Through play we encourage confidence and teach essential skills that will help your child thrive for years to come.
Meet Teacher Scarlet!
Scarlet believes that when children feel safe, seen and celebrated, they are able to accomplish anything. After graduating with a BA in Special Education, with a double concentration in Elementary Education, Scarlet worked locally as a full time Preschool teacher for two years. She is passionate about helping children develop their play skills, academic skills, as well as their social and emotional skills. She is looking forward to watching each child’s self confidence grow during their time at Wings!
Scarlet has passed a comprehensive background check and is also CPR/First Aid Certified.
Meet Teacher Mackenzie!
Mackenzie is from the San Juan Islands (Friday Harbor), which is where she began her early childhood educational career. She taught at a private licensed preschool for almost four years as the Lead Pre-K teacher. After moving to Seattle to pursue her Masters degree in elementary education, she taught fourth grade in Edmonds these past few years. Although she loved teaching fourth grade, her heart truly lies in early childhood education. Her favorite part of early childhood education is the innocence of children's minds, and being able to witness the confidence they gain throughout their early years. In her free time, she enjoys taking her three cats for walks, playing tennis, snowboarding, paddle boarding, or reading books by the water.
Mackenzie has passed a comprehensive background check and is also CPR/First Aid Certified.
